Can Do South Yorkshire: We are connecting people, nature and climate!
In the summer of 2020, we were delighted to learn that the National Lottery had awarded SCA & its partners funding for an 18 month development project. We were able to hire new members of staff, expand our alliance and plan exciting public engagement activities. In August, 2021, after an unpredictable year, we launched Can Do South Yorkshire, a project that aims to empower and enable people in South Yorkshire to take climate action.

Partnerships are key to the success of Can Do South Yorkshire. We believe that we can achieve more when we work together and share ideas and perspectives, which is why we partnered with over 30 organisations when making our first bid to the Lottery. Now, we are celebrating the work of of our amazing partners. We commissioned Opus Independents (the amazingly creative people behind Now Then magazine and the Festival of Debate) to film short videos about organisations in South Yorkshire that are taking climate action in creative ways.
