South Yorkshire Climate Alliance and Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust are hosting an online Climate and Nature Hustings for the 2022 South Yorkshire Mayoral Election.
The candidates for the Green Party, Labour and the Liberal Democrats have to date confirmed their attendance. This is a key opportunity to find out what action they would take, if elected, to address the climate and nature emergencies.
Audience participants will be able to submit questions in advance on policy issues within the remit of the Mayor. Questions may be combined to enable us to ask questions on different topics effectively.
The key areas are:
- economy and growth,
- nature recovery,
- training and skills,
- infrastructure, and
- public transport.
