About South Yorkshire Climate Alliance

We are an alliance of local organisations and individuals who are pressing for fair and effective action to tackle the climate and nature emergencies.

Our Vision

We want a thriving, successful climate movement in South Yorkshire, shaping a region where communities, public bodies, organisations, businesses, and individuals make the necessary changes to combat the effects of the climate and nature emergencies.

Our Mission

We will:

Increase understanding of the causes and effects of climate change and the just solutions to it.
Facilitate growth in the climate change movement in South Yorkshire and support a network for organisations to collaborate
Promote the adoption and implementation of effective measures to address the climate and nature emergencies by councils and other public bodies

Our Values

We believe that working together is more powerful than working alone. All allies within South Yorkshire Climate Alliance will treat each other with respect, engaging openly with each other towards the shared vision.

Our Board is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the organisation, developing our aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines and trust in the organisation.
