Active Hope and Climate Change
A participatory workshop suited to all ages and families, lead by Bob Banks and Jenni Crisp.
We all need ways to help us feel empowered and hopeful in building our shared future. Especially at times when we feel worn out or discouraged by the state of the world. The workshop based on the ‘Active Hope’ framework developed by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone, will explore and share ways of growing hope and power together. We will follow some of the Active Hope exercises to find ways to :
- connect with the things that bring us joy and recognise and share the pain and discouragement we feel
move through this to feelings that can sustain us ,such as hope, and a sense of possibilities
build connection together
We are very pleased to be holding the workshop in the open air on Flying Horse Lawn at Rivelin. We will have cover on their bandstand in the event of rain.
