Peaceful Demonstration outside the Town Hall
In February it will be 5 years since Sheffield City Council declared a climate emergency. We have seen the Arup report come and go, the 10 point plan and then the decision to go with seven route maps to decarbonisation – but by February 2024 only two of these route maps will have been written. Hardly an emergency response.
We propose to mark the anniversary with a peaceful demonstration outside the Town Hall from 1pm to 2pm. Please come as you are, or wear black for sorrow and anger, or wear black so you can be given stripes to turn you into bees! Questions will be being asked inside the council chamber at the full council meeting which starts at 2pm and you can watch proceedings from the public gallery.
Please join us if you can.
